Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), one of the techniques for electrochemical analysis, has been used a wide range applications especially chemical- and bio-sensing. Besides, EIS is few that proven useful membrane fouling detection. Electrodes are some most essential components analytes detection with EIS. With advances in printing technology, fabrication advanced printed electrode systems miniature designs improved sensitivity sensing made possible. This review addresses recent electrodes emphasis placed on discussing use Common materials discussed, along practical examples these electrodes. The commonly also deliberated. successful realization requires careful design electrodes, proper selection materials, as well optimization process. It expected will be widely accepted facilitate creation low-cost high-performance devices.
